We’ve seen many big actors and directors fail. But there’s a small name made up of just three letters whose content never fails—TVF. An another show like Panchayat has been released by TVF – Gram Chikitsalay. While others need actors, strong plots, and large budgets, TVF creates cinema purely based on emotions. Every time, without even trying too hard, they manage to teach the audience something new.

Overview
Gullak, Panchayat, Kota Factory, Flames, Pitchers—the list is long. These shows have already brought more joy to people on OTT platforms than what they get from theatres. But who would’ve thought that one of their best series was still waiting to be seen?
They’ve made so much already, so what was left hidden? It’s called Gram Chikitsalay, and it’s released directly in your home, on Amazon Prime. The same creators who introduced you to Panchayat are behind this Gram Chikitsalay show. And trust me, this new series can easily stand right next to Panchayat. There’s something in it that will touch everyone emotionally. It’s a mini-series of just five episodes, each about 30 minutes long. So in just around 2 to 2.5 hours, you’ll reach the end. And if you watch it with your family, it becomes even more enjoyable.
Just like in Panchayat, TVF has once again picked an important topic. This time, they’ve moved the camera from Phulera to a new village. Meet the new MO—Medical Officer—simply put, the village doctor, who can treat everything from fever and cold to stomach problems. But here lies the real problem. The doctor is here, but who will he treat when patients don’t even come to him for medicine?
This doctor, who won a gold medal from India’s top medical college, ends up losing to a local fake doctor, who operates with a cloth bag and has a long line of patients outside his clinic. “Desi” and “Videshi” (local and foreign) are words usually used for outsiders. But what happens when someone starts calling you a foreigner in your own country?
The story starts with a medical issue, but it takes a political turn when two powerful leaders clash during the village elections. The new doctor asked for patients, but instead, the two political leaders show up at his clinic—bringing armed men with them. Who else but TVF can take an emotional story and turn it into something so intense, even violent?
This Gram Chikitsalay show is a story where a doctor might even take a bullet for his patients—not a painkiller, but an actual bullet. Let’s be honest, everyone has tension in life. Everyone is dealing with some problem. So why not take this medicine called Gram Chikitsalay? Watch one episode a day, and you’ll forget all your worries.
This Gram Chikitsalay is not just a show. It’s a time machine that takes you back in time, back to your childhood village. It’s a show about slow, peaceful rural life—but the entertainment comes at full speed. Especially in the last two episodes, you’ll find twists you never imagined. This emotional, simple-looking rural TVF show surprises you with suspense, thriller, and tension.
By the time you watch episode four and five, your mind will be blown. The story may seem simple, but it’s made so real and natural that it won’t feel like you’re watching a series—it’ll feel like real life. Somewhere in those five episodes, you’ll find bits of your own life.
TVF clearly has some special talent. They find such relatable topics that even people sitting hundreds of kilometers away in Mumbai feel connected to a small village in Uttar Pradesh. Each character in this Gram Chikitsalay show feels magnetic—you just can’t stay away from them. Almost all the actors are unfamiliar faces, yet you’ll feel like no one could’ve acted better.
Usually, in a film, one out of ten actors gives a great performance. But in this Gram Chikitsalay show, it’s impossible to tell who’s acting and who might actually be a real villager. And yes, just like the “Hind ke Sitara” song from Panchayat went viral, this show has two such songs. You’ll hear them once and never forget them.
What Panchayat series did for Jitendra Kumar, this Gram Chikitsalay show does for another underrated actor—Amol Parashar. He blurs the line between cinema and real life in his performance.
They’ve shown an educational topic with so much entertainment. The show proves that motivational stories don’t always have to be boring. In this Gram Chikitsalay show, you won’t see actors—you’ll find magicians who portray real life on screen. Especially in the fourth and fifth episodes, you’ll witness how a seemingly simple story becomes something truly special.
The only complaint is that the medical side of the story didn’t get enough focus. It doesn’t show the details of a doctor’s work, which means while the story feels emotional and personal, it doesn’t fully explore real medical issues. The village seemed fine without a doctor—so what really changed after he arrived? The show doesn’t clearly answer that question. Unlike Panchayat, where the problems were solved from the root.
Still, it’s TVF, so you don’t need to think twice. For 2 to 2.5 hours, your house will echo with laughter when the entire family enjoys Gram Chikitsalay together. Don’t miss it.
