Overview
This time, we are also introduced to some characters, like our very own Katappa, Satyaraj sir, who seems to have a political background. And for some reason, he is giving off slightly negative, villain-like vibes. Whether he is actually the villain or not, we’ll only know after watching the Sikandar movie. Rashmika Mandanna is pairing up with Salman Khan for the first time, and as always, she looks stunning.
Now, coming to the action—Salman Khan is definitely going to create havoc on the screen, smashing both the villains and box office records. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, and if you look at his past movies, you’ll know that he never invests in the wrong place. Movies like Tamasha, Super 30, Chhichhore, the Housefull series, and Chandu Champion speak for themselves.
And when it comes to movies with Salman Khan, every single one that Sajid Nadiadwala has produced has been a super hit—starting from Judwaa, Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, to Kick movie. Now, with Sikandar on the way, this successful partnership remains rock solid.
Plus, the film is directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the mastermind behind Ghajini and Holiday movie. Now, he is directing Sikandar, so just imagine the scale of this movie! To give you an idea—while reading about the film, I found out that there are action sequences that weren’t even shown in the teaser—aerial action, gunfights, a massive train fight sequence involving 350 people! Reports also suggest that there will be four high-octane action scenes set in a train, aircraft, jail, and hospital.
No wonder the film’s budget is said to be ₹400 crores, but with Salman Khan in the lead, it will be recovered easily, for sure!
Now, talking about the teaser—Salman Khan once again proves what a true mass aura looks like! But as I always say, presentation matters, and the way the director has presented Salman Khan in this teaser makes it obvious why people are loving it. From the very first dialogue, it is clear that Salman Khan’s character will have not one, but three names—Sanjay, Sikandar, and Raja Sahab.
Now, whether these are three different personalities or just different sides of Sikandar’s badass character is something we’ll only find out in the movie.
I just wish the teaser was a bit longer—maybe 30–40 more seconds. It left us wanting more! Seeing Salman’s swag on screen was exciting, but they only gave a small glimpse. However, this fast-paced teaser smartly builds up hype without revealing too much—that’s what a smart-cut teaser should do.
I’m totally hyped for this movie now. Can’t wait for the trailer to drop soon. As always, the movie will release in theaters on Eid.
