Overview
However, there is one blemish on Maddock’s career that they’ve started trying to fix. The movie “Roohi” neither made money nor won the audience’s love. Maddock themselves felt so bad about it that they don’t even mention its name on posters related to their horror universe.
Poor Janhvi Kapoor had dreamed of delivering a hit film with Maddock, but that remained just a dream. The horror universe moved on without her. Now, Maddock is bringing her back with a new film. A short but catchy teaser has been released.
Param Sundari – you’ve probably heard the name before – is now the title of a film that already looks like a confirmed hit, simply because it has Maddock’s name attached to it. The teaser is just 50 seconds long, sweet and simple. It features feel-good scenes, background music that feels like therapy, and two very charming new-generation actors.
Surprisingly, no one expected that Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor would look so good together on screen. They’ve gone beyond all expectations. There are no unnecessary flashy scenes or forced drama. The teaser shows a love story in a very simple, natural way.
After a long time, it feels like a meaningful film is being made. Sonu Nigam’s song in the background, beautiful locations on screen, and a surprising new lead pair introduced right in the center—all of it feels just right. Param Sundari movie has everything you’d expect from a proper Bollywood romantic film. Nothing feels missing, and there’s nothing to complain about.
Some scenes in this Param Sundari teaser reminded me of the North-South Indian connection, taking me back to SRK and Deepika’s Chennai Express movie. It definitely feels like there’s some connection. Also, the theme of the film seems to match quite well with Karan Johar’s 2 States movie. That was a great film, and this one looks just as promising.
Sidharth Malhotra suddenly disappeared from Bollywood, and honestly, someone should research that. But as they say—better late than never, and this time he’s back with good cinema.
Param Sundari teaser doesn’t include any dialogues yet, but seeing Sidharth feels very refreshing. There’s no overacting, no extra spice—just a natural screen presence. On the other hand, Janhvi really surprises here. She’s never looked this effortless, and seeing her like this makes you want to watch her more.
You can notice different shades of her in Param Sundari teaser—she laughs, gets angry, falls in love, and maybe even has a surprising action scene at the end. There’s just a small worry about her dialogue delivery, since the film might include a North-South cultural angle, which could bring accent-related issues. But for now, there’s no problem in this Param Sundari teaser.
It’s rare that when two very different actors come together, they end up looking even better as a pair. That’s the vibe this film gives.
For your general knowledge, the film’s director is relatively new. He’s only worked on one film with Maddock before. Remember Abhishek Bachchan’s movie Dasvi? That was directed by the same person and gained a lot of popularity on OTT. Its sequel has already been announced.
Also, did you know what’s common between these movies Barfi, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Padmaavat, and Jannat 2? The director of Param Sundari movie has worked as an assistant director on all of them. So, he has closely observed romantic cinema and understands it well.
Now Maddock should release the full song that they used in Param Sundari teaser. The film will get free promotion just from that.
At this point, it’s worth asking the public—doesn’t this feel like a remake of Chennai Express movie? Or do you see a strong connection to 2 States movie?
Can Sidharth and Janhvi handle such high expectations? Can they make the movie a hit on their own? Comment and let us know—does the teaser have real impact, or is it just all show and no substance?
