I’ve watched The Ba***ds of Bollywood series, which just dropped on Netflix. It’s a seven-episode series, with each episode running about 35 to 40 minutes. From the teaser, it already gave off a strong vibe. Honestly, for the first time it felt like someone from inside Bollywood had come up with a satire drama about the industry itself. The big question is—will people like this series? Let’s talk about it.

Overview
The teasers and trailers of The Ba***ds of Bollywood series had already created a lot of hype. Not only because of the subject, but also because big names like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan were seen coming together. On top of that, all the cameos teased in the trailers made this show a hot topic even before its release. And yes, the cameos are endless—I’d say more than 40 or 45.
Now about the story. Aasman, played by Lakshya, is an outsider in the industry, a rising star who delivers an impressive performance in his debut film. His entry creates a stir. On the other side is Ajay Talwar, played by Lord Bobby Deol, a well-established actor who has been around since 2025 and now wants to launch his newcomer daughter in a big movie.
So, on one side you have the star kid, and on the other, the outsider. When they end up working together in the same movie, things take unexpected turns. That’s the essence of The Ba***ds of Bollywood series. What people really want to see is what goes on behind Bollywood’s glamour—the politics, the hidden agendas, the struggles of big actors, the pain of those who haven’t found work in 10–15 years, the gossip at success parties, the fights over reviews, the drug mafia, underworld links, and love affairs. Almost everything is covered here.

I want to give credit to Aryan Khan, who created this in such a fresh way and brought the audience’s mindset to the screen. Yes, the mindset of the audience. The Ba***ds of Bollywood series tries to answer many of the questions people secretly carry, and it does so using comedy.
Another point where Aryan deserves respect is the courage it must have taken to present this The Ba***ds of Bollywood series script in front of so many actors, especially with the bold climax. After watching that final scene, I honestly thought, “How did he even dare this?” Yet everyone supported him. I won’t spoil the climax for you—it would ruin the surprise—but I can say I never expected it.

From a production perspective, every episode is presented really well, except the seventh one. For me, the last part was difficult to process. It was hard to digest what I was watching. But I also noticed how Aryan Khan consistently presented Bollywood in a spoof or satire style while keeping its real side in focus. Maybe he did this deliberately. Anyway, the climax definitely shook me, though my opinion about it stays negative.
On the brighter side, the acting is excellent. The family emotions are strong, and Manoj Pahwa’s performance will win you over completely. Rajat Bedi also deserves special mention for portraying the painful story of a forgotten actor in a comic way.
Many viewers may dismiss it as just comedy, but I truly respect his work. Another beautiful aspect is the bond shown between Raghav and Lakshya—it’s a perfect example of true friendship.
The music is good too. There are a few songs, but they blend into the story without disturbing it, which actually works as a plus. The cameos are used brilliantly, with some even extended, like Karan Johar’s. Overall, the series is gripping—you won’t feel like getting up from your seat until the end.
However, one thing to note is that right from the first minute, The Ba***ds of Bollywood series is filled with heavy abusive language. And the final episode has a scene you would definitely not want to watch with family. But with friends, you’ll enjoy The Ba***ds of Bollywood series a lot more. After finishing it, for me, this The Ba***ds of Bollywood series turned out to be a complete binge-watch experience.
