Overview
The story of Murder In Mahim show revolves around a railway platform. In the farthest corner, there’s a bathroom that for years has been used like a red-light area — pay some money and get access to someone’s body. But there’s a twist: it’s not about men and women, but mostly same-gender interactions happening there.
The station, which was once infamous, suddenly becomes a media sensation when a mutilated dead body is found inside that bathroom. Blood on the walls looks like a horror painting, and the most shocking part is the medical connection — the body’s kidney is missing. Strangely, the police aren’t stressed because the dead man has already written the name of the next victim on his hands, almost like an open challenge to the Mumbai police, right in front of the media cameras.
The race is now between three players — the killer, the police, and time. One murder follows another, and the count doesn’t stop. But this time they have to act fast because the next victim’s name belongs to a top police officer. At this point, the story introduces a ghost. A strange case comes up where a boy jumps off the top floor of a building and kills himself. The irony is that the police, whose job it is to save lives, are now the ones being questioned. It’s hinted that the boy’s spirit might have returned for revenge.
You must have seen a lot of cop-and-criminal shows before, but in Murder In Mahim, here you will meet Yamaraj himself — someone who predicts the death of the next victim by writing their name. A warning: this Murder In Mahim web series is addictive. Once you watch the first episode, you won’t be able to stop until you finish all eight. The biggest reason is that until the last ten minutes of the final episode, you won’t have even one percent idea who the real mastermind is. Suspicion keeps shifting between the police and the criminals throughout the show.
The real climax is something no one could predict, even in their dreams. It’s a smartly crafted show where you can’t guess what’s coming next. Vijay Raaz and Ashutosh Rana are actors whose performances naturally make you feel that they’re hiding something. Whenever the camera focuses on them, it never feels like time-pass — every scene carries serious tension and often a big twist. The real excitement builds when these two come face to face. Watching a battle of wits is even more thrilling than physical fights.
This Murder In Mahim show proves that you don’t need a 200-crore budget to impress audiences. If your writing is strong enough to make the audience feel like they’re reading a gripping 200-page crime novel, that’s enough. Also, even though there’s a red-light area angle, don’t assume the show is vulgar or unsuitable for family viewing. It’s definitely adult-themed but without any double-meaning dialogues. Murder In Mahim show is also special because it will make many people uncomfortable by holding a mirror to them.
If you remember the web series Asur, where the mystery of the real villain ‘Shubh’ was solved after a long, dangerous journey, this Murder In Mahim show delivers the same kind of suspense. You’ll be easily fooled. The real mastermind will be in front of you the entire time but you won’t notice. You’ll need a lot of patience to watch all eight episodes, but if you stick around till the end, you’ll get a huge surprise. The ending is so unexpected it will leave you completely shocked.
The climax is dangerously unpredictable. The acting is outstanding, not just by the lead actors but also by the supporting cast. Sensitive topics like Article 377 are handled so smoothly that viewers are forced to question their own thinking.
There are a couple of complaints. Murder In Mahim show shouldn’t have been stretched to eight episodes; some family-related scenes felt like unnecessary filler. Also, while the writing is strong, the dialogues sometimes lack the powerful punch that shows like Asur delivered.
If you want to watch something brilliant from home, where the acting and story are both top-class, Murder in Mahim is definitely made for you. Green light.
