Mohit Raina’s New Web-Series Kankhajura: Chilling Mind-Game Thriller Where One Man Enters Criminal’s Minds to Reveal Truths

Mohit Raina's New Web-Series Kankhajura

I know the craze for web series has slowly gone down. On top of that, releasing three episodes together and then one per week is a pretty bad formula. But even in something bad, there’s usually some good. It took some time, but Sony LIV is finally back in form. It has come out with an amazing and impressive show. The name is Kankhajura, and even hearing the name might make you feel a bit weird. Believe me, that’s just the beginning. Not a single scene in this Kankhajura series feels normal or forgettable.

Overview

Mohit Raina’s comeback is at the level he truly deserves. But the real highlight of this Kankhajura show is the mysterious character who gets inside Mohit’s mind like a Kankhajura (earwig).

The best thing is, this Kankhajura show plays with your mind, but doesn’t use any adult, vulgar, or overly mature content. And the entire season has been released at once. You can binge-watch it and know the ending in one go. Honestly, after a long time, a show’s concept feels so different and unique. Once you hear about it, it’ll blow your mind.

Two criminals are locked up inside a jail cell. You know what they have in common? Both have been accused of murdering the same person. That means one of them is the real killer, and the other was wrongly arrested by the police.

Here’s where it gets more shocking. That second guy, the one who was falsely accused, isn’t new to jail. For him, prison has become a second home because he secretly works for the police. For those criminals against whom the police have no proof, this man is sent to spend a night with them. He makes them reveal their crimes in their own words. This man is Kan Khajura. He looks ordinary, but once he gets inside someone’s head, he can control them. He can make a killer describe how they committed a murder. Then the police record it on camera and use it in court to lock them up permanently.

But this Kan Khajura wasn’t always like this. He’s come out of jail after 14 years. It’s shocking. The same man who now exposes others’ secrets used to be completely silent. Fourteen years ago, when the police caught him, he didn’t say a single word. He quietly took the blame for a murder.

The second main character in this story is a powerful businessman from Goa who wants to build the tallest building under his name and show it off to the whole city. But one girl is blackmailing him and stopping his dream. Then something totally unexpected happens. That woman kills herself in her bathroom—willingly and without any complaint. That’s when we find out Kan Khajura has been released from prison. Could he have gotten into her mind and made her do it? What does he want from the businessman?

Kankhajura is a brilliant show that begins as a crime thriller and slowly shifts into the psychological zone. It takes you deep inside a criminal’s mind. There are eight episodes, and each episode brings in new characters with their own stories. But all eight come together in the end to create one big mystery.

The concept is based on an Israeli web series. You could call it a Hindi remake, but only a handful of people know about the original. That’s why it’ll feel very new while watching. It doesn’t feel like a typical Bollywood story. The more you think, the more fun you’ll have. The episodes are a bit long, but once you start watching, it’s made in a way that keeps building interest. You won’t even realize how the time flies.

The actors are fantastic. Especially Mohit Raina in the lead—he brings a fresh vibe. Roshan Mathew’s character is written so well that if you saw him in real life, he might scare you. And yes, the climax of this Kankhajura show hides a huge surprise. One character will change completely, like a chameleon, and it’ll shake the whole story. You’ll be shocked by the end.

Acting, concept, climax—it’s hard to say who’s the good guy and who’s bad. One downside is that it’s a remake. Mohit Raina’s dialogues are powerful, but the show misses a bit when it comes to playing with the viewer’s mind. Still, for something to watch at home, this Kankhajura show is one of the best shows that really takes you deep inside a criminal’s psychology. Watch Kankhajura show now—don’t miss it.
