Overview
This Param Sundari movie is the director’s second film. His first was Dasvi, which Maddock also supported, and the public loved it. Will it happen again? Param Sundari movie’s story is another experiment from Maddock. A dating app has been created that can connect a person to their soulmate, whether thousands of kilometers away or right next door. For example, it connects Param from Delhi to Sundari in Kerala. To find out how true this app is about love, Param travels to Kerala. That is where Sundari’s story begins.
She has an innocent face with playfulness in her eyes, but she does not stand shyly at a distance. You will be surprised when you see knives and swords in her hands. Just like her name, she is beautiful, but winning her heart is very difficult. Not in the wrong way, but it is not easy for anyone to win her love. No ordinary person can do it. And of course, what is a Kerala love story without elephants? Rukmini connects North India and South India, and a pan-India love story begins.

When there is love, there is music, and Sonu Nigam’s song Pardesiya plays in almost every other scene, creating the real atmosphere of Param Sundari movie. But just like in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s films, two hearts meet quietly, and towards the end the film moves towards tragedy. At the interval of the first half, something similar happens when this love story turns into a triangle, and the soulmate app starts to look like a mistake.
Until now you may have heard the word “beautiful” used only for people. But if it were used for cinema, then Param Sundari movie’s name would be written with it. Param Sundari movie is a very beautiful, very sweet, very simple, very easy film, filled with music, love, emotions, and a little bit of action.

There is even a boat race. If you only watch the first half and leave, Param Sundari movie will feel like the most value-for-money film of 2025. Param Sundari movie will be a 100% hit, no one will doubt it. But the second half is quite messy. Param Sundari movie clearly shows how much shortage there is of new writers in Bollywood. How many times can you sell the same old story in a new package? The good thing is that unlike what everyone thought from the trailer, Param Sundari movie is not a copy of Chennai Express. It is a different film.
There are no childish scenes like idli, dosa, or samosa jokes. But the second half feels a bit too long, and the ending is very predictable. The Maddock touch of doing something truly different is missing.
The Kerala scenes are the best part of this Param Sundari movie. The culture, the language, the villains, and the wedding rituals are all interesting. Sidharth Malhotra has done an excellent job. He looks completely natural, putting in no extra effort but making every scene look real. His screen presence works wonderfully in romance.

Janhvi is not bad either, but the mix of Hindi and Malayalam in her dialogues feels confusing and unnatural. It does not feel real. In dance and romance, it seems like she worked too hard and looks tired. Her scenes with Sidharth are good, but they don’t feel emotional. Like in Saiyaara, the actress there made you feel a personal connection, but here Sundari, though beautiful and sweet, does not let you connect deeply.
Surprisingly, the best acting is done by a 13-year-old girl, Inayat, in a supporting role. Her dialogues are brilliant, and she delivers them so easily that it doesn’t even feel like acting.

To be honest, Param Sundari movie is probably Maddock’s safest film. They made exactly what they thought of, without trying anything new or different, just making the audience happy. Sonu Nigam’s voice in the Pardesiya song is the backbone of the film, and Kerala’s beautiful culture adds charm. On the negative side, the story is weak, the emotional content is very simple, and the ending is predictable—something everyone knows from the start.
Param Sundari movie will earn money because Maddock is behind it, but it misses the strong impact of Saiyaara, Metro In Dino or even Dhadak 2. It is a one-time watch. Not bad, but not the best either. The decision is yours.
