Overview
A simple comedy film suddenly transformed into a thriller, and I felt I was watching something really good. I realized that the makers thought differently about a comedy actor and presented him in a unique way.
The story of Maareesan movie is about a thief who lives by doing small thefts. One day, he finds a wealthy man but with a twist. The man suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, which means he forgets things. When the thief finds out that he has a lot of money that could make him rich, he takes him on a bike trip with the plan of robbing him.
From there, a lighthearted story full of twists and turns begins. In the first half, the story moves like situational comedy because of the thief’s good heart and the other man’s memory loss. But in the second half, things change completely. \
I cannot say more because even a small detail will spoil the story, so you should watch Maareesan movie. You will not feel bored at all.
The best thing about this Maareesan film is its trailer. The trailer was edited brilliantly. It is part of the film, but it represents only one percent of it. I had watched the trailer earlier, and after watching Maareesan film I went back to see it again.
I felt full respect for the makers and editor because they did not reveal anything about the story.
Maareesan movie has some comedy, and it works well. I watched Maareesan movie in Hindi dubbed, which was decent, though it still gave the feel of a dubbed film. Technically that should not happen, but it is fine because I could understand it better in my own language.
Still, the real strength is the chemistry between the two actors and their acting. The situations created, the continuous twists in the second half, and the final twist—all are placed perfectly with strong writing and screenplay. The layers of the story open slowly, the dots connect, and this makes Maareesan film a must-watch.
Maareesan movie has emotions, comedy, thrill, suspense, and even a social message. The film does not look grand in scale. It has a simple setup, simple camera angles, and simple green backgrounds.
There is no glamour and no songs, but still, the two and a half hours do not feel long. The film moves only on the strength of its story and situations.
There are no abuses or adult content, so you can easily watch Maareesan with your family. After analyzing and thinking about the film, I can say—watch this Maareesan movie once. You will also say that it was a great recommendation.
