Overview
Far away from Mumbai, a girl’s dead body floats to the edge of a small unknown lake. The body is badly decomposed, even the eyes are gone. It’s hard to recognize her face. But every dead person leaves a clue. There’s a dangerous politician everyone is scared of. But he’s scared of only one thing—being separated from his daughter. And something like that has happened.
The girl took a break from her father and went for Vipassana, a type of meditation retreat where there’s no phone, no internet, no TV—almost no contact with the outside world. It’s all about looking within yourself. But she didn’t tell anyone about going there. She only sent a WhatsApp message to three or four close people. The police start investigating and connect the clues. Soon, they think the body found in the lake could be the politician’s daughter.
The second story is from 14 years ago. Four friends were on a road trip when they saw an unconscious man on the road. One of them got out to help but was attacked by the man. He didn’t just beat him up—he almost killed him. Now, that boy lives quietly in a mental health facility. But the man’s attack didn’t hurt him as much as the fact that his childhood friends didn’t even get out of the car to help him. That’s what really broke him.
Now there’s a third case that connects both stories. One of the friends has a computer at home. On the screen, police find a video of the same girl whose body was found. It’s not a love video—it’s a live video of her being tortured. Her hands and feet are tied, her head is injured, and she’s treated in a horrible way.
The case seems clear: the dead girl is known, and the criminal who recorded the video is also in front of them. Only punishment is left. But what if I tell you the truth is something else? Can something you clearly see still be a lie?
Pune Highway film’s climax is strong, and the interval is even more shocking. The way these two stories connect will blow your mind.
