Overview
Here’s an actor whose films I’ve seen only a handful of times, yet he manages to overshadow even childhood superstars. That’s the impact of a great teaser.
The teaser of Sikandar has been released in Bollywood, and the audience is divided. Fans want to celebrate their star, while neutral viewers are looking for strong content. There is no doubt that in Hindi cinema, “mass” means only one name—Salman Khan. With a solid script, theaters can turn into stadiums. Actors like him should be utilized wisely because fans have high expectations, and average content just won’t cut it—something special is always required.
That’s exactly why the Sikandar teaser didn’t personally work for me. It feels like Salman Khan isn’t doing anything new, just remaking one of his old films. This reaction has made many people angry, asking what makes a great teaser and what Salman should do differently.
But the answer didn’t take long. Just 24 hours after Sikandar, a Tamil film announcement dropped and set social media on fire.
Just a few days ago, I watched Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi movie and wished Salman Khan would get a film like that—it would drive the audience crazy in theaters. That film was made in a complete Hollywood style, yet it didn’t get the support it deserved from its own audience. If it had been an English-language film, people would have been singing its praises. To truly understand what a “theatrical experience” means, you need to watch movies like this. Only then will you realize what an actor of Salman Khan’s level actually deserves.
And now, this Good Bad Ugly movie teaser has left even that experience behind. Every single scene in this teaser overshadows Bollywood’s entire mass film lineup.
Here’s my challenge—if fans who were satisfied with Sikandar’s teaser watch Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly teaser, they’ll end up apologizing to Salman himself! Have you ever seen such a drastic transformation in the same actor within a single teaser?
No VFX trolling, no lazy time-pass scenes—just pure cinematic brilliance. This level of presentation only happens when both the filmmakers and the actors fully understand what the audience expects.
The action scenes are perfect—intense, stylish, and giving off an international vibe. The visuals are breathtaking, distinct, and unique. Nothing about the story is revealed, leaving room for speculation without making it feel like a recycled version of an old hit film. Even the way the title is revealed on-screen has been carefully designed, making it feel fresh and innovative.
One of Sikandar’s biggest weaknesses was its lack of a powerful background music —something that could have elevated Salman Khan’s presence. But Good Bad Ugly nails it. Just put on headphones and listen—the music alone will get you hyped for the film.
The biggest complaint about Sikandar is that Salman doesn’t seem fully involved or putting in as much effort as he used to in his earlier films. In contrast, Good Bad Ugly has been turned into a one-man show by Ajith Kumar. His screen presence is electrifying, and his transformation is mind-blowing.
In Sikandar’s 80-second teaser, Salman appears in multiple looks, yet in every frame, the audience only sees Salman, not Sikandar. Meanwhile, in Good Bad Ugly’s 90-second teaser, Ajith Kumar appears in different looks, and in every scene, he transforms into a completely different character. His expressions alone change his entire face!
Just watch the Good Bad Ugly teaser once and imagine Salman Khan in that role—Bollywood’s box office dominance would be completely wiped out.
Tamil cinema has a clear mission for 2025—to aim for ₹1000 crore at the box office by delivering unique and diverse content.
