I want to give a hundred-gun salute to the makers for creating a series on this topic, which was truly needed. Let’s talk about the series The Secret of Shiledars, which premiered on Disney+ Hotstar.
An OTT show like this has been released, and nothing like it has ever been made in Bollywood before. It’s a show that started with zero expectations, but by the last episode, giving the idea behind this series a 5 out of 5 stars became a must.

Overview
The Secret of the Shiledars is a brand-new show released on Hotstar. It has a total of 6 episodes, which can be completed in about 4 hours with ease. Everyone must have seen Munjya and praised how the cartoon CGI characters made the Stree universe even more interesting. What people loved the most was the horror angle of that film, which was connected to the real-life story of Munjya.
Now, the same director, Aditya Sarpotdar, has brought a new story to OTT. You must have seen adventure movies in Hollywood, but what Hollywood couldn’t do, our desi cinema has done—it has connected adventure with real-life emotions. Just like Munjya, this is a fantasy web series featuring kings, hidden caves beneath the ground, ancient secrets, and a never-heard-before real-life story.
Many movies have been made on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, each one better than the other. Maratha history is filled with countless stories that give you goosebumps just by hearing them, mostly revolving around wars and battles.
But very few people might know about a hidden treasure. The Secret of Shiledars completely unique and different concept, connected to the Maratha Empire. Simply put, it is about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s treasure, which still exists somewhere in the world today. Many people have lost their lives in the quest to find it…This show is about a secret society that has been protecting this treasure for generations, hidden among us.
Who are these people? Where do they come from? How do they operate? And most importantly, does the treasure actually exist, or is it just a legend? These are questions even Google can’t answer because finding out the truth requires going underground, reaching into a snake’s den, unlocking the doors of a dark chamber in an ancient fort, and battling the demons that lurk inside.
I know many of you might have one big question in mind: Since the series has only 6 episodes, will it conclude in Season 1, or will it leave things incomplete for Season 2?The good news is that the show reaches its climax within this season itself, in just 4 hours. All the answers will be revealed, and there may not even be a need for a Season 2!

And that’s why Rajeev Khandelwal’s name stands out—because he always brings the kind of cinema that the audience truly deserves but rarely gets. Forget about who the actors are. Forget about how the acting is. Forget whether it’s Bollywood or Marathi cinema. Just watch this show purely for its content and story.
