Overview
The story is about a spirit that has been troubling an entire village. By mistake, a boy brings something inside him that should not exist in this world. Sulochana from Someshwara is shortened to Su From So. The movie is running houseful shows in all theatres every day. After watching Su From So movie, I was shocked.
How can someone create such an unforgettable experience with just 3 crores? We should actually thank the entire Bollywood industry that this film was not released in Hindi dubbing, otherwise people would definitely ask them, “When will you make cinema like this?”
If you really want to know the true power of Kannada cinema, search for Raj V Shetty on Google. Watch all the films connected to him, and you will understand what real cinema is. My personal favourite is Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana, which also has Rishab Shetty from Kantara movie. It is a complete masterpiece.
The second is Toby, where his look and performance will make you forget many big superstars. The ending of that film gives goosebumps. But those two were serious films, while Su From So is a terrifying comedy.
Yes, it has horror, but it is also so naturally funny that my face hurt from laughing. I have not seen such intelligent and naturally funny writing in many years. You cannot watch Su From So movie without your mouth hurting from laughing.
The story is about a dead woman’s spirit who possesses a strong village boy to meet her living daughter one last time. This boy is the most respected man in the village, always helping in good deeds and solving problems. When the haunting begins, this great man calls a famous TV priest to perform some exorcism like in the Hollywood film The Exorcist.
But the spirit is stubborn; it leaves and comes back again, this time turning violent. Behind closed doors, the priest’s truth is revealed. The biggest twist is when the haunted door finally opens, and something comes out that should never have been in that room. Such a simple film with such a shocking climax is completely unexpected. That is the main reason all shows in Karnataka are houseful.
Even if you watch the trailer ten times, you will still not understand what the Su From So film is actually about. Su From So movie is a unique, creative, and completely unpredictable piece of cinema. The ending will blow everyone’s mind. This is what it means to use the power of imagination properly.
While watching, I even felt like I was sitting behind the screen and seeing everything with my own eyes. It feels so real that the word acting becomes meaningless.
