Overview

Now coming to the main thing — this is another silly movie like Housefull 5. It doesn’t make any sense and has no logic. You should just keep your brain aside while watching. Actually, you don’t even need to think at all. Just watch Son of Sardar 2, and if you enjoy it, good. If not, you can curse it and walk away. Son of Sardar 2 movie is the type of movie where some people may enjoy it, and some may not.

The comedy in this Son of Sardar 2 movie is not for everyone. Yes, it is supposed to be a comedy, but these days most comedies are filled with vulgar jokes or double meanings. This movie had many chances to create simple, clean comedy with funny situations, but it didn’t work well.

If I talk about the first half of Son of Sardar 2 movie, I laughed only once — that was when Ajay Devgn talks about a scene from the movie Border. Apart from that, the whole first half felt very boring. The dialogues were not funny, and there were no scenes that made me smile. The full movie is about 2.5 hours long, and honestly, I laughed just two or three times.

One moment that made me really laugh was at the beginning when the old Son of Sardar title song plays and Ajay Devgn does his funny dance with iron bangles. That was genuinely funny. But the rest of the comedy in the movie felt forced.

They also tried to make jokes using the India-Pakistan topic. Some of it might make you laugh, but it also feels a bit sad or uncomfortable. Towards the end, the movie tries to create confusion about relationships. That part could have been written in a much better way. I remembered movies like Hungama, which were also based on confusion but made us laugh without using vulgar jokes. In this movie, the confusion in the end seems very fake and forced.

Talking about acting — Ajay Devgn played the innocent Sardar character well. But Sardars are not as simple as they are shown in the Son of Sardar 2 movie. This might give people the wrong idea who have never visited Punjab or met a Sardar before.

Other actors also did their parts well. But everyone spoke in different styles and accents. Some were speaking Pakistani Punjabi, some Hindi Punjabi, some Bihari Punjabi, some foreign-style Punjabi, and even one with a Marathi accent. In some scenes, it sounded really weird and awkward.

Anyway, the main goal of any movie is entertainment. If you enjoy mindless, silly comedy, then this Son of Sardar 2 movie is a good option for you. There are no kissing scenes or very vulgar acts, but yes, there are some double-meaning dialogues. These might make you feel a little uncomfortable if you are watching it with your family.

In the end, it’s totally your choice.
