Raghav Juyal’s Gyaarah Gyaarah Web-Series Review: A Unique & Fresh Concept Of Time Travel

Gyaarah Gyaarah Web-Series Review

Which was Bollywood’s most underrated film of 2024? In my opinion, it’s Kill movie — a low-budget movie with big content. Anyone who watched it in theatres was reminded of Animal movie instantly. No one expected this level of violence before. But the most surprising part? The villain got more love than the hero. People went crazy over his character and became fans instantly. A new show called Gyaarah Gyaarah has released on Zee5.

Overview

And guess what? That same “Raghav Juyal” is back. The best part? You don’t even have to go to theatres this time — the content has come to your home. And interestingly, Gyaarah Gyaarah web-series is made by the same creators of Kill movie — Karan Johar and Guneet Monga.

Just like Kill movie, Gyaarah Gyaarah show explores a concept rarely tried in Bollywood — time travel. The story starts in Dehradun. Fifteen years ago, a little girl was found dead floating in a river, and the police could never solve the case. Now, the boy who was with her that day at a fair has grown up and become a police officer — and he’s assigned this case.

One night, while alone in the police station, he finds an old wireless radio. Suddenly, it lights up and he hears a voice. On the other end is another police officer — Raghav Juyal, who starts revealing secrets about the murder. The case that was unsolved for 15 years gets solved in under 24 hours, and the main cop becomes a hero.

But when he tries to find the other man on the wireless to share credit, he gets the shock of his life — the voice is not from the present. It’s from 2001. Someone 15 years in the past is talking to him in 2016 about a murder that nobody had solved yet. How is that even possible?

And there’s another twist — the connection between past and present only lasts for one minute, at exactly 11:11. What if there’s no one on the other side?

Gyaarah Gyaarah web-series is based on a completely unexpected concept. The time travel element is not straightforward — it’s more like a tangled puzzle. And believe me, what I’ve told you here is just 10% of what actually happens in the show. It’s both thrilling and exciting. If you’ve watched Korean shows like Signal, this show is adapted from that — not a remake, but a true adaptation with differences.

The best part? This Gyaarah Gyaarah show is not just about one case — multiple cases are solved, like in CID, all connected to the 11:11 mystery. While solving them, the truth behind the strange time connection slowly starts coming out.

There are 8 episodes, each about 40 minutes long — roughly 5 hours total. But it’ll feel like 8 minutes because the show moves at lightning speed. It’s like a rabbit running — your brain won’t get a break. Many characters are connected like a spider’s web.

And Raghav Juyal? You thought his name started with R? Wrong — it starts with C. C for Content, C for Cinema. If you were scared of him in Kill movie, this time he’s solving crimes as a cop and it’s absolutely entertaining.

The other two lead actors — Kritika and Dhairya — also gave powerful performances. Dharma Productions seems to have found a way to clean their “nepotism sins” by backing strong concepts like this. More films should be made on time travel.

Raghav has a naturally strong screen presence, and Dhairya’s angry young man role from the past is just fire. The thriller and suspense here really feels like CID. Each case feels fresh. The locations of Dehradun and Mussoorie look beautiful — like paradise.

One small complaint: the ending leaves a lot open for season two. The main story didn’t get a full climax. And one more thing — don’t look for logic in this Gyaarah Gyaarah show. Just enjoy it and move on. If you compare Gyaarah Gyaarah show to real life, you’ll get confused. Gyaarah Gyaarah show is not that authentic, but it’s entertaining.
